Full Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Cairo where you will be met by your tour Egypt Tours and Travel manager, who will assist you, then transfer to your deluxe hotel, the Ramses Hilton Hotel. Overnight.

Egypt Tours

Day 2

Meet with your Egypt Tours manager and drive to Memphis on the edge of the western desert, the capital of the ancient kingdom, and one of the most important cities throughout the history of ancient Egypt. From here we drive to Sakkara, the vast necropolis of ancient Memphis. In the afternoon, drive to the pyramids of Giza. Cheops pyramid, the largest of the three, was built in the 4th dynasty about 2690 B.C. and is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. In front of the pyramids of Chephren, the Sphinx is carved from a single piece of stone, it is a lion with a pharaoh's head thought to be a portrait of the pharaoh Chephren. Enjoy a camel ride by the pyramids area and visit the Papyrus Institution. Return to your hotel to freshen up. In the evening, you will be met and transferred by your Egypt Tours manager to the Pyramid Plateau area to attend the magnificent sound and light show. Later transfer back to your hotel for overnight.

Day 3

You will be met by your Egypt Tours manager and transferred to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor, upon arrival at Luxor airport, you will be met and transferred to embark your cruise ship. The M/S Amwaj. Visit the temple of Karnak and the temple of Luxor. Overnight on-board ship.

Necropolis of Thebes

Day 4

Cross to the West Bank of the Nile, visit the Necropolis of Thebes, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari and Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon, sail to Edfu via Esna. Overnight on-board ship.

temple of Horus

Day 5

Arrive Edfu, visit the temple of Horus. The temple was built in the Ptolemaic Kingdom between 237 and 57 BC. The inscriptions on its walls provide important information on language, myth, and religion during the Hellenistic period in Egypt. Sail to Kom-Ombo. Overnight on-board cruise ship.

Day 6

Visit the Temple shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris, recognized for its symmetrical construction with two sanctuaries. Sail to Aswan. in the afternoon, visit the botanical gardens and the Agha Khan Mausoleum by Felucca. Overnight on-board your cruise ship.

Day 7

Visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries, and the Unfinished Obelisk. Disembark your cruise ship where you will be met and transferred to Aswan airport for your flight back to Cairo, upon arrival at Cairo airport you will be met by your Egypt Tours tour manager and transferred to your hotel, the Ramses Hilton. Overnight.

Day 8

Meet with your Egypt Tours tour guide to start your tour by visiting the Egyptian Museum famous for its antiquities from Egypt's Pharaonic period, which dates back some 50 centuries and includes the fabulous treasures of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. In the afternoon, an excursion to Old Cairo, visiting the very old Coptic Churches, and the oldest Jewish Synagogue of Beni Ezra. Continue your visit to the Mohammad Ali Mosque and the medieval Bazaars of Khan-El-Khalili, where you can bargain for your jewelry, hand-tooled, copper, and leather items. Return to your hotel. Overnight.

Day 9

Breakfast, then you will be met by our tour Egypt Tours tour manager and transferred to Cairo airport, and helped with your check-in for your departure flight.

Abu Simbel

Optional Abu-Simbel Excursion

*This will take place during your stay in Aswan

**Airfare to and from Abu-Simbel is included

Visit the Great Temple of Ramesses II, hewn in the rock, with four colossal seated statues of the king in front of the entrance. It was dedicated to Amun Ra, the Horakhti, and Ramses II. Then visit the King's wife's temple, the Temple of Nefertari. The entire site was threatened by the waters on the completion of the Aswan High Dam and has been preserved by International action organized by "Unesco". All of the parts of the temple have been sectioned, cut, removed from the original site, and reassembled on higher ground.
